CroatiaNew findings indicate that water from public supply systems in the Lika-Senj county is safe for drinking. The results come from an extraordinary sampling conducted on August 19 by the Public Health Institute of the Lika-Senj County and the Croatian Institute of Public Health (HZJZ). Fourteen water samples were collected at consumption points, including taps in the service areas of Senj, Tonković Spring, and Mrđenovac. All tested samples met health standards and showed no deviations from regulated values. Additionally, PFAS compounds (synthetic chemicals) were not detected above the detection limit. These findings align with previous water quality tests in the area, and monitoring will continue according to guidelines set by the Expert Committee for Water Intended for Human Consumption.
