He claims that after attempting to retrieve his phone, five more attackers appeared, beating him with their feet and then using a metal chair to strike him repeatedly. The attack caused him to lose consciousness briefly, and he sustained injuries including a hematoma and a concussion. Filipović stated that the attackers did not hesitate to act in front of cameras and 15 witnesses, suggesting they were unafraid of being seen.
