Further investigation confirmed the license was forged, and it was discovered he had obtained it illegally in Bulgaria to drive. As a result, authorities filed a criminal complaint against him and initiated an administrative process to revoke his stay in Croatia. He was ordered to leave the country within three days and banned from entering Croatia for three months. Additionally, he received a fine of €1,386.36 for traffic safety violations.
