Special SIR camps to be held on August 29, 30 and September 19, 20 to help voters verify names, file claims, objections

The Election Commission of Karnataka has announced special campaign days on August 29, 30, and September 19, 20, aimed at helping voters verify their names in the draft electoral rolls and submit claims or objections. Booth-level officers (BLOs) will be stationed at polling stations during these dates to assist citizens with the verification process. These BLOs will have access to forms 6, 6A, 7, and 8 and will digitize the submitted forms using a dedicated application. The campaign is part of a broader effort to ensure accurate voter registration, with over 4.46 crore registered electors in the state. Authorities have also deployed 4,262 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and Additional AEROs to support the notice phase of the process.
