SerbiaVeselin Milic's case remains in the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade
The Higher Public Prosecution Office in Belgrade (VJT) has stated that it has not forwarded the case against former head of Belgrade police Veselin Milić to the First Basic Public Prosecution Office in Belgrade. The VJT explains that the investigation into Milić continues under the charge of 'failure to report a criminal act' within the framework of an ongoing investigation into the murder of Aleksandar Nešović, known as Baja, who was killed on May 12, 2026, at the restaurant '27' on Senjaka. Nešović, a member of the so-called Kek group, was found dead in a barrel buried near the Jarčevac Lake, close to Indjija. The suspect, Saša Vuković Boska, is currently in custody since May 14. Initially, there were suspicions that the crime was committed in Milić’s presence, with him allegedly participating alongside three other officers from his security detail in covering up the crime, but those charges were dismissed. Milić now faces charges of failing to report the criminal act, specifically the murder.
