The suckling pig greeted the children with a decorated kindergarten: it worked all summer

In Sisak, Croatia, the new academic year for preschools began on Tuesday, following extensive summer renovations aimed at improving safety and conditions for children and staff. The mayor, Domagoj Orlić, and deputy mayor Sanja Mioković inspected the four preschool facilities, Radost, Pčelica, Bubamara, and Ciciban, where various improvements were made. At Bubamara, walls were renovated and additional space was converted into a day care room, adding 15 more spots. In Pčelica, sanitation areas were renewed, while Ciciban received new play equipment. The largest project was at Radost, where new wall coverings, art and educational materials, and surrounding areas were upgraded due to three new nursery groups. Starting in September, the city will implement the 'Mali koraci – velik svijet' project, providing new equipment and furniture, including sensory education tools, a LEGO center, and an art space. A new playground worth around €250,000 is also in preparation.
