Silvija Čabraja returns to SHNL after her first shift of the season

Silvijo Čabraja has returned to the top tier of Croatian football, the SHNL, after being replaced by Mario Gregurina at Slaven Belupo. Gregurina was dismissed following a poor start to the season, having lost four of the first five matches and only winning one against Gorica at home. Despite achieving a cup final and finishing seventh in the league last season, Gregurina's performance this season led to his removal. Čabraja previously managed Vukovar during the previous season but failed to prevent their relegation, though he kept them competitive for much of the campaign. He had previously coached Lokomotiva from June 2021 to March 2025, managing 147 matches with 53 wins, 42 draws, and 52 losses. This marks Čabraja's third SHNL club in his career. The article notes that Čabraja is known for working with young players and aims to stabilize Slaven Belupo's roster, which weakened over the summer.
