The municipality of Ormož wants to withdraw from the co-founding of the Ptuj-Ormož Regional Museum

The article discusses the potential withdrawal of the municipality of Ormož from its role as a founding member of the Regional Museum Ptuj-Ormož, along with plans to integrate cultural activities under the municipal tourism, culture, and sports office. The mayor, Danijel Vrbnjak, explains that the municipality already operates a public institution managing the renovated Ormoški Grad, and now wishes to consolidate cultural content and heritage management under one organization. He mentions the possibility of unified management of Ormoški Grad, the castle in Študenci, and Velika Nedelja, which are currently managed by the museum. Director Aleksander Lorenčič confirms ongoing discussions and highlights the need for agreements between municipalities and the adoption of relevant acts at the local level. The museum emphasizes the continued presence of museological content and collections, requiring ongoing collaboration with the Ptuj Museum. The article notes that the museum serves 19 municipalities, including Ormož, Sveti Tomaž, and Središče ob Dravi, with the latter having withdrawn from the founding status in 2019.

The story of Slovenia is also in the gifts: ice cream from Babne polje for Pahor, a Mongolian purse for Pirc Musar ...

The article discusses an exhibition at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary History in Slovenia, showcasing 200 donated items from 57 countries received by Slovenian presidents. The exhibit highlights the symbolic value of these gifts, which represent the connection between the state and its leaders. It notes that only about 10% of the total collection is displayed publicly, while the rest is stored in three national museums. The display includes gifts from children, sports figures, and other notable individuals, emphasizing their role in representing Slovenia internationally. The curators explain that the selection was based on thematic groups rather than monetary value, acknowledging the subjective nature of such choices.

Bias read (Center): While the article covers politically sensitive content related to Slovenian leadership and state symbols, it maintains a balanced approach by focusing on historical and cultural aspects rather than taking a partisan stance. The framing emphasizes the symbolic importance of the gifts without overtly褒

Why these scores (Factual 70 · Objective 65): This article discusses a different event entirely (a museum exhibition of gifts to the state), not related to Ormož or the museum reorganization. While factually accurate within its scope, it lacks relevance to the main event being assessed and shows minimal objectivity due to promotional tone.
