RISE AND RETIREMENT BEFORE JANUARY: Here's when higher earnings will be available and what retirees can expect

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić announced at a large gathering in Belgrade that Serbia is among the fastest-growing economies in Europe and expects further economic progress, along with new measures for elderly citizens. He stated that Serbia currently has the highest economic growth rate in the region and ranks fourth in Europe by growth rate. According to Vučić, by the end of the year, Serbia is expected to reach third place, and next year first place in Europe by growth rate, according to the International Monetary Fund. Vučić noted that Serbia was behind almost everyone in the region in 2014, including Montenegro, which had 50 percent higher wages than Serbia. Now, Serbia is ahead of them. He also announced that a new package of measures for pensioners would be presented next week, thanking the oldest citizens for their support of reforms that were difficult but necessary. Vučić promised a significant increase in pensions before January, likely in November and December this year, and additional benefits that would please many.
