Indictment against Aleksandar Papić, charged with selling luxury cars
The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has filed charges against businessman Aleksandar Papić, accusing him of selling nine luxury cars obtained through criminal activity. The indictment alleges that between 2022 and 2023, Papić transferred property worth 72 million Serbian dinars, knowing it originated from illegal activities, with the intent to conceal its illicit origin. The vehicles, including Bentley Continental, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche Cayenne, Audi A7, BMW X5, and others, were reportedly acquired by the director of the company 'Sirb kar' from Arandelovac, who had obtained them through criminal means. This conclusion is based on a valid court decision from the Higher Court in Belgrade. Papić is accused of money laundering and is currently under investigation alongside former deputy director of JP EPS Milorad Grčić and nine other individuals. Media reports suggest Papić was closely associated with former minister Nebojša Stefanović, linked to several corruption cases and investigations into the Belivuk criminal clan.
