The article reports on the installation of two new devices called SEATRAC on Slovenia's coast, specifically at Portorož and Riviera in Piran. These devices enable people with mobility impairments to access the sea more easily, using solar energy and featuring motorized seats that allow users to travel from the beach to the water and back. The total investment cost for purchasing and installing both units was 74,700 euros before VAT. The system is designed to adjust to tidal levels, ensuring safe usage throughout the swimming season. Both devices are now available to users, with plans to integrate them into the official SEATRAC network for tracking locations and operational status. Users have positively received the innovation, including a visitor from the Czech Republic who used the device. Similar solutions exist at Portorož, where amphibious wheelchairs are also available. The devices are currently located at the most visited beaches, and their success will determine if they can be expanded to other locations based on user interest and financial availability.
