Piran se ponovno zadrži pod zvezdami. Po šestih letih premora se vrača Piranski kino pod zvezdami, sicer znani poletni dogodek, ki je bil v preteklosti osredotočen na kulturno in umetniško oblikovanje mesta. Od 1. julija do 26. avgusta bo potekalo devet brezplačnih filmskih projekcij, medtem ko bo predpremiera slovenskega filma *Skriti ljudje* (2025), režira Mihe Hočevarja, ena najpomembnejših manifestacij. Pred vsako projekcijo bo tudi pogovor z ustvarjalci, kar poudarja pomen kulturnega dialoga in povezave med gledalcem in ustvarjalcem.
Kino na prostem je bilo tradicionalno organizirano s strani piranskega župnika Zorko Bajca, ki je v skupščini s partnerjem – Avditorijem in nato z Društvom meščanov Piran – organiziral dogodek pred pol leti. Sčasoma je bilo težko vzdrževati takšno storitev samotno, zaradi česar je dogodek zamrl. Društvo Škver, ki deluje od leta 2024, je v svojem delu predstavljal različne kulturne dogodke, kot so delavnice, izstavi in glasbene dogodke. Leta 2023 so organizirali glasbeni festival Škverljada, vendar so letos odločili, da bodo zamenjali to s Piranskim kino pod zvezdami. "To je bilo odločitev, ki jo smo sprejeli, ker smo želeli prinašati nekaj novega," razlaga Megan Jazić iz društva Škver. Poudarek je bil na filmu, kar je predstavljalo nove možnosti za kulturno interakcijo in dostopnost. Društvo je tako uveljavilo idejo, da bodo filmi iz različnih držav, kar bi lahko pritegnilo tujce, ki so na počitnicah v Piranu.

"Želeli smo ponuditi čim bolj zanimiv izbor filmov," pravi Maksim Sinkovič Korošec, eden izmed vodičev projekta. Prvič letos bosta dva slovenska filma, kar poudarja regionalno identiteto in povezavo z domačinsko kulturo.
Obnova kina na prostem je bila pravažna sodelovanja med različnimi skupinami, kot so umetniki, nogometni navdušenci in prostovoljci. Društvo Škver, ki je vključevalo štirice ključne figure – Megan Jazić, Maksima Sinkoviča Korošeca, Mattea Kersikla in Ano Bitič – je bilo osredotočeno na ustvarjanje dogodkov, ki bi bili dostopni vsem generacijam.
