Organized prostitution in Zadar, Split and Šibenik: 37-year-old man arrested, seven women provided at least 30 services

A 37-year-old Croatian man has been arrested after a multi-month police investigation in Zadar, Split, and Šibenik uncovered allegations that he organized prostitution involving at least seven foreign women who provided over 30 sexual services. The suspect allegedly created and regularly updated fake profiles on the internet under different female names, published contact numbers, and used a mobile app to arrange prices and times for sexual encounters with clients. He reportedly directed clients to rented properties in the three cities for these services. Police searched his home and vehicle, temporarily seized his car, multiple phones, and cash suspected to come from prostitution activities. The suspect was placed under custody and a criminal report was filed against him. Additionally, a 29-year-old Venezuelan woman was also charged with prostitution, though she remains at large. The case is ongoing, with further investigations into potential other individuals involved. The suspect also received a fine of €1,320 and a three-month driving ban after being caught driving with a revoked license.
