New gym in the fall, new kindergarten in three years.

In December 2022, a fire at the gymnasium of Most na Soči elementary school caused damage to the fitness area and wardrobe. The renovation, initially planned to start in September 2023, was delayed by two months due to expert assessments requiring additional improvements. The renovation includes roof replacement, interior surfaces, new building equipment, lighting, and a sports floor. The value of the investment increased from €850,000 to over €900,000, primarily due to enhanced fire safety measures. The municipality will cover part of the costs through state funding and additional contributions. The renovated facility will be available starting November 2024, while physical education classes will continue outdoors and in classrooms until then. Construction of a new kindergarten nearby is also planned, expected to begin in 2027 and conclude in 2029, with an estimated total investment of between €7 million and €8 million.
