Missing woman involved in Karlovac murder: she took a child with her

A Macedonian woman has been linked to the murder of a man in Karlovac, Croatia, while allegedly taking her child with her. The woman, Bojana Peševska, went missing under unclear circumstances along with a minor child. Her disappearance was reported in Virovitica on August 17, according to local media. She is described as being approximately 165 centimeters tall, with blue hair and brown eyes. She was wearing short sporty trousers, tennis shoes, and a short wide T-shirt with a slogan. According to reports, a criminal case against Peševska is ongoing at the Municipal Court in Karlovac. She and a 25-year-old named Juraj Udorović are accused of involvement in the death of Amar Sofić. Udorović is charged with having intoxicated Sofić and then beating him to death, while Peševska is accused of failing to report the crime and fabricating documents. Peševska reportedly transferred Sofić’s BMW Series 3 car into her name after his death, using a fabricated purchase agreement. The indictment states that Udorović attacked Sofić on November 9, 2024, hitting him repeatedly with a wooden object to the head and body, causing severe injuries. He then left Sofić naked and in poor condition near the Kupa River in Karlovac, where he later drowned. During the investigation, it was revealed that Sofić had been intoxicated prior to the attack, which made him unable to defend himself. On the same day, Peševska took over the purchase agreement for Sofić’s BMW, despite knowing that Sofić had been killed. She then transferred the vehicle into her name. The court is seeking a multi-year prison sentence for Udorović, while Peševska faces a potential sentence of one year and eight months in prison. Authorities have urged citizens to contact police if they have seen anyone matching the description of the missing person. Police have issued a call for the public's assistance in locating the missing woman. They have asked residents to report any sightings of someone matching the physical description of Peševska, who is believed to have taken her child with her.
