At the end of the Biznis and PIP 2026 programmes, three awards were given

At the conclusion of the Biznis in PIP 2026 program, three awards were presented to standout business ideas. The initiative, which ran over three months, saw participation from 14 entrepreneurial teams across five municipalities within the region. These teams worked with professional mentors, workshops, and individual consultations to develop their concepts. The projects covered a wide range of topics including sustainable development, food, tourism, well-being, community integration, woodworking, mobility, and education. A specialized committee evaluated the entries based on innovation, market potential, feasibility of the business model, and growth opportunities for the business ideas. The idea named "Most Promising Business Concept of 2026" was awarded to PetHero, a project originating from Cerknica. Founded by Maša Klammer and Mart Kregar, PetHero develops functional pet nutrition supplements created in collaboration with veterinarians. Their goal is to improve the quality of life for household pets suffering from joint mobility issues. The product addresses a growing need among pet owners seeking effective solutions for their animals' health. The award for the most innovative business concept went to Oddklop, based in Ilirska Bistrica. This team, consisting of Jožica Ujčič and Tina Mentol Ujčič, has developed an innovative brand of functional "techwear" socks. These socks combine protection against ticks and mosquitoes, compression support, and a modern Slovenian design approach. The product reflects a blend of practicality and style, targeting consumers who value both functionality and aesthetics. A special award for the business idea with the best local potential was given to Experiment - RazisKAVArna, located in Postojna. This project is led by Anita Bajc and Matej Martel Režek. It combines the culture of specialty coffee, education, and social experience, opening new possibilities for the development of local entrepreneurship and tourism. The concept aims to create a vibrant space that supports both community engagement and economic activity. The public vote award was received by the idea Notranjska kuhna, represented by Florjan Žnidaršič. His concept involves preparing high-quality mini meals "to take along," made from fresh local and Slovenian ingredients. This solution offers a convenient, healthy, and balanced meal option for people living fast-paced lives. The idea caters to the increasing demand for quick, nutritious, and well-balanced food options. The Biznis in PIP program is organized in collaboration with the municipalities of Bloke, Cerknica, Ilirska Bistrica, Loška Dolina, Pivka, and Postojna. The initiative continues to foster local entrepreneurship by providing resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs. Through this program, participants gain valuable insights and tools to bring their ideas to fruition, contributing to the regional economy and community development.
