CZThousands of people have been evacuated in the south of France due to wildfires.
Na jihu Francie, v departementu Východní Pyreneje, vypukl rozsáhlý lesní požár, který se v noci a v neděli rozšířil na plochu 1650 hektarů. Požár, který se šířil pod vlivem silného větru, vysokých teplot a mimořádného sucha, způsobil zranění dvou lidí, z nichž jeden je ve vážném stavu. Kvůli tomuto incidentu musí být třetí etapa cyklistického závodu Tour de France konána bez diváků. Úřady evakuují až 5000 lidí, zatímco hasiči bojují s požárem pomocí 700 hasičů, 200 pozemních vozidel a deseti letadel a vrtulníků. Požár se nachází blízko obce Les Angles, kde má být plánovaný dojezd třetí etapy závodu. Francouzský ministr vnitra Laurent Nuňez upozornil na skutečnost, že sezona lesních požárů začala o měsíc dříve než obvykle. Světová meteorologická organizace (WMO) varovala, že rekordní teploty zvýšily riziko požárů kvůli nízké vlhkosti vzduchu.
