MORH banned business with arrested businesswoman: Leaked as she was cheating

The Ministry of Defense (MORH) banned the participation of the company Design Vision, owned by recently arrested entrepreneur Alma Boch, in its tenders for four years due to alleged fraud involving references and security conditions for armor plates used in military body armor. Boch was arrested alongside former MORH procurement chief Ivo Devčić, suspected of colluding in the procurement of military boots for elite units. Despite operating from a family home in Zagreb’s Dubrava and employing only one person, the company secured multi-million contracts with MORH between 2018 and 2022, including purchases of boots, berets, caps, thermal underwear, and masks. The procurement process during Devčić’s tenure allegedly favored Boch through non-transparent procedures, allowing her to secure contracts worth over four million kunas. MORH discovered discrepancies in the procurement of ballistic protective plates, leading to the ban on Design Vision’s involvement in future tenders until 2029.

Bias read (Progressive): The article frames the actions of the Ministry of Defense as proactive and lawful, emphasizing their early intervention against fraudulent practices by Design Vision.
