Na Madžarskem je v ponedeljek, 9. juniju 2026, parlament soglasno podprl zakon, ki predlaga znižanje plač poslancev za 40 odstotkov. Ta ukrep, ki ga je predlagala vladajuča stranka TISZA premiera Petra Magyarja, predstavlja eno izmed ključnih mer za obnovo državnega proračuna, ki je bil v zadnjem času zelo izčrpán. Znižanje plač bo veljalo tudi za predsednika vlade, predsednika parlamenta ter člene parlamentarnih odborov. Osnovne bruto plače poslancev bodo znižane na 3690 evrov, kar predstavlja zmanjšanje za 40 odstotkov. Prejšnja bruto plača poslančeve je znašala približno 6150 evrov.
Zakon je glasoval vseh 189 prisotnih poslancev, kar kaže na solidarnost med vsemi členi parlamenta. Po besedah Magyarja bodo s temi ukrepi v parlamentu v štirih letih prihranili za eno leto stroškov poslovanja. Gre za enega od ukrepov, s katerimi si novi madžarski premier prizadeva ponovno napolniti državni proračun, ki naj bi ga izčrpala leta domnevne korupcije. Magyar je v prejšnjem mesecu dejal, da gre za samokontrolo in ponižnost, kar je spodbudilo kritike, a tudi podporo med nekaterimi političnimi krugovi.
Poleg znižanja plač bodo poslancem v celoti ukinili povračilo stroškov za mobilni telefon, zmanjšali pa bodo tudi nadomestila, ki so jih prejemali za najem pisarn, stanovanj ali osebja. Te zmene so povezane z potrebo po znižanju javne porabe, ki je v zadnjem času popolnoma ponorela. Medtem ko so v času levo sredinske vlade Roberta Goloba poslanci Svobode, SD in Levice dramatično povišali proračunske dotacije strankam, plače celotnemu javnemu sektorju in še posebej funkcionarjem, tudi poslancem in ministrom, zdaj se vladajoča stranka usmerja v obratno smer.
Na Madžarskem so v zadnjih letih znižanje javne porabe postavljali kot eno izmed priorit. V času levo sredinske vlade so znižanja ni bilo, medtem ko so poslanci in ministri dobivali povišano plače. Po volitvah, na katerih je ustavno večino pridobil desnosredinska stranka TISZA Pétra Magyara, je vladajoča stranka začela razmislek o znižanju stroškov. Vključno z znižanjem plač poslancev so vladajoči premiernik Magyar poudarjal potrebo po samokontroli in ponižnosti, kar je spodbudilo kritike, a tudi podporo med nekaterimi političnimi krugovi.

Vendar pa je tudi to zelo kontroverzno, saj so nekatere stranke, kot so SD in Levice, kritične glede na to, kako so v preteklosti uporabljale dotacije.
Vse skupaj kaže, da je vladajoča stranka TISZA Premiera Petra Magyarja v zadnjem času pripravljena na zelo radikalne ukrepe za obnovo proračuna. Znižanje plač poslancev in dotacij strankam predstavlja eno izmed ključnih mer, s katerimi se prizadeva ponovno napolniti državni proračun, ki je bil v zadnjem času zelo izčrpán.
