Interpol has issued an international warrant for Ranko Grab, who is accused of war crimes against Bosniac civilians in the area of Novi Grad (formerly Bosanski Novi) during 1992. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina previously ordered the issuance of the international warrant because Grab failed to appear at court proceedings. He did not attend a hearing scheduled for early May, where final arguments were planned. At that time, the president of the Judicial Council, Lejla Konjić Dragović, stated that judicial police could not find Grab at his address and that his wife said he had been undergoing treatment in Serbia for the past three weeks. The Judicial Council concluded that Grab violated restrictions, and the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina proposed the issuance of an international warrant and detention. In November of last year, medical experts determined that Grab was capable of attending and following the trial. Grab is accused in a case where ten individuals were convicted of 162 years in total for crimes committed against Bosniac civilians in the villages of Alići and Ekići near Novi Grad in June 1992, but the process regarding him was separated due to his health status
