An incendiary incident occurred on Tuesday in an apartment located on the 8th floor of a building on Calea Moșilor in Bucharest's Sector 2. Upon arrival, firefighters reported intense flames and dense smoke emanating from the affected unit. According to the Bucharest-Iliava Emergency Services Inspectorate (ISUBIF), the fire was localized, affecting approximately 50 square meters. As of now, rescue teams have not identified any casualties. Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze and ventilate the affected interior spaces. Representatives from ISUBIF stated that there was no need to evacuate residents from the building. Four firefighting units, two SMURD teams, one aerial ladder truck, and a special rescue detachment were deployed to the scene.
