The II. Gymnasium in Maribor has once again proven itself as one of the top schools offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Slovenia. This year's students achieved exceptional results, with an average score of 39.47 points—nearly nine points above the global average—and 21 gold diploma recipients. Notably, student Lev Ribič scored all 45 possible points, a rare achievement worldwide. The school emphasizes that these accomplishments stem from the dedication of students, teachers, and parents. Compared to other Slovenian IB schools, such as Bežigrad Gymnasium, which had 57 students complete the programme this year with 13 scoring 40 points or more, Maribor's performance stands out.
