Croatian athletics are in their golden days, our athletes are brilliant at the Mediterranean Games

On the ninth day of the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Croatia's athletes shone brightly in athletics, securing two new medals. Filip Pravdica won silver in the long jump with a distance of 8.14 meters, narrowly behind Italian Francesco Ettore Inzoli (8.19 m), while Algerian Tarek Hocine took bronze with 8.03 m. In the discus throw, Matija Gregurić earned bronze with a throw of 76.03 meters, finishing behind Greek Christos Frantzeskakis (silver) and Cypriot Iosif Kesidis (gold). This was Gregurić's best performance of the season. Marino Bloudek advanced easily to the 800-meter final as the second-place finisher in his group, with Nina Vuković set to compete in the women's event. Mia Wild qualified for the 100-meter hurdles final with a time of 13.60 seconds. Croatia came close to another medal in judo but fell short in a dramatic team mixed event against Slovenia. Other sports like sailing, gymnastics, and 3x3 basketball saw mixed results, with some athletes reaching finals and others falling short.
