CroatiaSix young Croatian mathematicians won medals at the 20th Central European Mathematical Olympiad held in Celje from August 23rd to 29th. Fran Čačinović and Kristian Radić received bronze medals, while Ivan Katalenić, Lovro Kličković, Matej Križanić, and Martin Vidović earned silver medals. The Croatian team finished fifth out of ten participating countries. The event includes Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland, with host nations rotating annually. Team selection was based on results from the Croatian Mathematical Olympiad, organized by the Croatian Mathematical Society. Participants underwent two intensive preparation cycles organized by the society and the association 'Young Talented Mathematicians Marin Getaldić'. The Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth covered the costs of team selection, preparation, and travel. Coaches were Vlatko Crnković and Tadej Petar Tukara.
