CDMX government maintains Operation Tlaloque due to heavy rains; more than 25 million cubic meters of water are recorded

The Government of Mexico City has kept the Tlaloque Operation active to address the effects of heavy rains recorded during the afternoon and night of Sunday, which accumulated over 25.9 million cubic meters of water across the city. These rains have caused 26 fallen trees, various puddles, short circuits, and damage to some homes. To address these issues, the Water Secretary deployed 118 personnel including operational staff, engineers, technicians, and drainage teams supported by 48 machines. The areas most affected were Álvaro Obregón, Azcapotzalco, Coyoacán, Cuauhtémoc, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Tláhuac, Tlalpan, and Xochimilco, where 30% of the puddles had been addressed by 8 PM. Some flooding was due to blockages in drains caused by waste accumulation, prompting authorities to remind citizens not to litter in public spaces or drains to prevent drainage system obstructions during the rainy season. Firefighters deployed units to handle nine short circuits and puddles and removed 26 fallen trees and branches in several boroughs.

Bias read (Center): The article provides factual information about the government's response to heavy rainfall, detailing actions taken by municipal authorities and the extent of infrastructure damage. There is no evident ideological framing, loaded language, or selective sourcing that would indicate a clear political傾
