Faculty of Pharmacy will get a whole new look #photo

The Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Ljubljana is set to undergo significant expansion with the construction of a new building. Preparation for the project began this May, and completion is expected by November 2030. The investment amounts to approximately €133.1 million, which will create over 33,000 square meters of space, including modern laboratories, lecture halls, clean rooms, and a university teaching pharmacy. The rector of the University of Ljubljana emphasized that the new facility will enhance student enrollment and training capacity in pharmaceutical fields. Currently, the faculty operates in several locations, including the historic Stare Tehnike building constructed in 1920, and has a total usable area of 6,598 square meters. With the new building, the faculty aims to accommodate up to 2,000 students and introduce an interdisciplinary master’s program in Bio-pharmaceutical Engineering starting in the academic year 2026/2027.
