The Director of Prosecutions, Byra Ramakoteswara Rao, emphasized the need for improved coordination between the police and prosecution to effectively implement the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act in the state. During a State-level semi-annual review meeting in Vijayawada, Rao highlighted the importance of addressing deficiencies in investigations and managing trials carefully to maintain conviction rates. He also mentioned that guidelines for collecting scientific and digital evidence, timely filing of charge sheets, and presenting evidence in court had been issued.
