While the law is pending, "businessmen" have an assurance: There is no answer as to why police are guarding Veselinović and Radoičić

Following the murder at Senjak and the arrest of the former head of Belgrade police, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić promised that police would no longer protect criminals and organized crime figures. However, it has been revealed that members of Serbia’s elite police units continue to guard two prominent businessmen from Kosovo, Milan Radoičić and Zvonko Veselinović, despite existing laws prohibiting such actions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has remained silent for over a week when asked about this issue. A former criminal police inspector criticized Vučić’s earlier promise as mere political propaganda aimed at voters of the Serbian Progressive Party, noting that similar claims have been made for years without any real change. Despite Vučić’s recent statement denying that the Gendarmerie protects these individuals, there remains no official confirmation or denial from authorities, while reports suggest that active snipers from the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit are involved in their protection.
