Distinction for Arsakeio Patras in collaboration with the university, won the first prize in the Education Leaders Awards 2026

The Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras and the Philo-Educational Society received the gold award at the Education Leaders Awards 2026 for organizing the Summer Schools program, a pioneering educational initiative implemented in collaboration with the University of Patras. The award recognizes their efforts in connecting secondary education with higher education and emphasizing the importance of school-university cooperation. The program, which began in 2014, has evolved into a successful educational institution over 12 years of continuous operation, providing students with direct exposure to university knowledge, research, innovation, and cutting-edge technologies. This year’s event saw participation from 140 students across public and private schools nationwide, who engaged with more than twenty university laboratories through hands-on activities. The success of the program is attributed to the active involvement of faculty members, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates from various departments of the University of Patras.
