Singapore has begun constructing a massive underwater wall to create the world's largest automated port, marking one of its most ambitious engineering feats. The project, which started in 2014 with coastal dredging and land reclamation efforts, continues today with the sinking of concrete blocks as tall as a ten-story building into the seabed. These blocks form part of a giant retaining wall stretching 17.7 kilometers long, designed to support the new port’s infrastructure.
