Benelli BKX 300, your new adventure of access for A2 card

Benelli has unveiled its new BKX 300 motorcycle, designed specifically for riders holding an A2 license. The model follows the successful BKX 125 and represents a significant step up in engine size while retaining the distinctive design elements that define the BKX family. The motorcycle is aimed at users looking to expand their riding horizons with a more versatile option capable of handling both daily commutes and off-road adventures. The design of the BKX 300 was handled by the Benelli Style Center in Pesaro, maintaining the aesthetic language introduced with the 125 model. This includes clean surfaces, compact volumes, and balanced proportions that place the rider at the center of the driving experience. The front end features a prominent LED headlight, enhanced by textured finishes and a color palette inspired by the outdoors. Technically, the BKX 300 marks a major advancement for Benelli. The chassis, developed by the company's R&D department, uses a closed double cradle structure made of steel, providing stiffness and precise handling. Ergonomic adjustments have been made to offer greater freedom of movement, including adjustable footrests in two positions to accommodate different riding styles. The suspension system is fully adjustable, offering 180 mm of travel on both the front fork and rear shock. Specifically, the bike is equipped with a 41 mm inverted fork with adjustable preload and hydraulic damping for compression and extension, paired with a progressive lever rear monoshock. These components aim to provide high customization and confidence on challenging terrain. At the heart of the BKX 300 is a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with a displacement of 292.4 cc, featuring dual camshafts in the cylinder head and four valves per cylinder. Certified under Euro 5+ regulations, the engine produces a maximum power output of 21.0 kW (28.6 horsepower) at 8,750 rpm and a peak torque of 24.0 Nm at 7,250 rpm. Benelli considers these figures suitable for riders with an A2 license. The fuel injection system is managed by a Bosch Motronic MSE 8.0 unit, using a 42 mm butterfly throttle body. Power is transmitted through a six-speed chain-driven transmission to the rear wheel. The tank has a capacity of 12 liters, including 1.5 liters of reserve, ensuring considerable range according to the manufacturer. The dimensions of the BKX 300 reinforce its off-road capabilities: 19-inch wheels on the front and 17-inch on the rear, a seat height of 860 mm, and a ground clearance of 229 mm. These specifications are intended to handle demanding terrains confidently. Despite its performance, the motorcycle maintains a manageable weight of 156 kg in running order, which Benelli highlights as crucial for maneuverability on all types of surfaces. In terms of general dimensions, the motorcycle measures 2,090 mm in length, 910 mm in width without mirrors, and 1,210 mm in height without mirrors, with a wheelbase of 1,430 mm. The braking system includes a floating 300 mm disc on the front with a four-piston radial caliper, supported by a 240 mm disc on the rear with a single-piston floating caliper. Both discs come standard with ABS. Additional features include a compact LCD display, USB port, and full LED lighting, including the distinctive light signature of the BKX series. Benelli expects the BKX 300 to reach dealerships starting in the summer of 2026, available in a range of colors designed to enhance its adventure identity. The launch price has been set at 4,390 euros.
