Bapatla Collector seeks help of political parties for smooth conduct of SIR

Bapatla District Collector V. Vinod Kumar convened an all-party meeting to address challenges in completing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The SIR exercise, running from June 15 to July 14, aims to map the 2002 electoral roll with the updated 2025 roll. Enumeration forms were distributed to voters via Booth Level Officers (BLOs), but many remain unreturned. The Collector warned that voters failing to submit forms would need to reapply for enrollment. Political party representatives requested an extension due to time constraints, but the Collector emphasized collaboration with BLOs and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to verify updates like deaths and migrations. Officials from multiple parties, including TDP, Jana Sena, YSRCP, Congress, BJP, CPM, BSP, and Aam Aadmi Party, attended the meeting.
