Prosecutors in Bali have requested a 10-year prison sentence for a British national, Baath Jarnail Singh, who was found in possession of 1.4 kilograms of cocaine. The charges stem from his alleged role in trafficking narcotics, which violates Indonesian drug laws. Singh was arrested in February 2026 at a hotel in Kuta, where police discovered the drugs along with equipment used for packaging and measuring narcotics. He admitted during the trial that he was acting on behalf of an unidentified individual, MIC, who is still wanted by authorities. In exchange for storing the cocaine, Singh reportedly received financial compensation. The trial will proceed next week with Singh and his lawyer presenting their defense.
