Generația care va susține bacalaureatul în 2026 a fost afectată de o serie de schimbări legislative și de fluctuații constante în cadrul sistemului educațional, conform declarațiilor Președintelui Consiliului Național al Elevilor (CNE), Mihnea Haiduc. Acești elevi, care au intrat în clasa pregătitoare în 2013, au trecut prin două legi ale educației și 12 miniștri ai educației în doar 13 ani, ceea ce le-a generat o presiune academică semnificativă. În ceea ce privește calendarul Bacalaureatului 2026, prima probă scrisă, la Limba și literatura română, a avut loc luni, 29 iunie, iar elevii au avut la dispoziție trei ore pentru rezolvarea subiectelor. Totuși, din cauza caniculei, Ministerul Educației și Cercetării a amânat cu o zi proba scrisă obligatorie a profilului, care includea matematică și istorie, de la marți, 30 iunie, la miercuri, 1 iulie. Decizia a fost luată în urma unei prognoze de cod roșu de caniculă emisă de Administrația Națională de Meteorologie, iar scopul principal al măsurii a fost protejarea sănătății elevilor, profesorilor și personalului implicat în organizarea examenului.
Joi, 2 iulie, s-a desfășurat proba la alegere a profilului și specializării, care a fost ultima probă pentru majoritatea candidaților. Elevii de la filiera teoretică, profilul real, au avut opțiuni precum Fizică, Chimie, Biologie și Informatică, în timp ce cei de la profilul umanist au putut alege dintre Geografie, Logică, argumentare și comunicare, Psihologie, Economie, Sociologie sau Filosofie. Aproximativ 131.000 de elevi au participat la această probă, iar reglementările privind desfășurarea examenului au fost riguroase, interzicând utilizarea de dispozitive electronice și a materialelor auxiliare.
Elevii au exprimat diverse opinii despre dificultatea subiectelor. Unele dintre ele au fost percepute ca fiind accesibile, în timp ce altele, cum ar fi problema de la Biologie sau cea de la Fizică, au fost considerate capcane. Profesoara Carmen Hîrnea a remarcat că subiectele de Fizică au fost bine construite, dar un exercițiu de la secțiunea de electricitate a creat confuzie pentru mulți candidați. În ciuda acestor obstacole, mulți elevi au exprimat optimism asupra rezultatelor, anticipând note peste 8.
În plus, un mesaj inspirator a fost trimis de vedeta TV Dan Negru, care a folosit exemplul poetului Tudor Arghezi pentru a sublinia că succesul în viață nu este întotdeauna determinat de notele obținute la examene. Negru a insistat pe importanța empatiei, bunătății și adaptabilității în fața unui sistem educativ complex, sugerând că aceste calități sunt mai valoroase decât notele obținute la examene.
În ceea ce privește etapele următoare, rezultatele inițiale ale Bacalaureatului 2026 vor fi afișate pe 7 iulie, până la ora 12:00, iar candidații vor putea vizualiza lucrările și depune contestații între 14:00 și 18:00, în aceeași zi, precum și în zilele de 8 și 9 iulie. Soluționarea contestațiilor va avea loc între 9 și 10 iulie, iar rezultatele finale vor fi publicate pe 13 iulie. Candidații care obțin cel puțin nota 5 la fiecare probă scrisă și media generală de cel puțin 6 vor fi declarați „reușiți”, în timp ce cei care nu îndeplinesc aceste condiții vor fi declarați „respinși”.
Această perioadă de examene a fost marcată de anxietate, speranță și reflecții asupra valorii educației.
