Un grave attentato dinamitardo ha colpito la casa del giornalista Sigfrido Ranucci a Campo Ascolano, Pomezia, il 16 ottobre 2025. È emerso che l’esplosivo utilizzato era costituito da gelatina da cava, un materiale considerato obsoleto ma estremamente distruttivo. Gli inquirenti hanno espresso preoccupazione per questa scoperta, indicandola come prova di una rete illecita che fornisce armi e materiali esplosivi. La gelatina da cava è stata riconosciuta come un elemento chiave per comprendere la natura e l’origine dell’attentato.
Un’importante pista investigativa è stata aperta grazie a una telecamera installata lungo la strada statale 148 Pontina, a circa diversi chilometri dal luogo dell’attentato. La videocamera ha registrato l’utilizzo di una Fiat 500 X, noleggiata in Campania, che ha seguito un percorso verso Roma e poi è tornata rapidamente dopo l’esplosione. L’analisi dei tabulati telefonici ha confermato che i movimenti dei dispositivi mobili utilizzati dagli arrestati coincidono perfettamente con il tragitto della macchina. Questo dato ha contribuito significativamente a stabilire la connessione tra i sospetti e l’attentato.
Gli inquirenti sostengono che l’azione non fosse opera di un gruppo autonomo, ma piuttosto eseguita su mandato di altre figure non ancora identificate. Secondo le indagini, i mandanti avrebbero fornito supporto logistico e finanziario, inclusi fondi, schede telefoniche speciali e assistenza legale, per proteggere i responsabili e facilitare eventuali fuggite all’estero. Ci sono anche segni di tentativi di occultamento delle prove, come la distruzione di schede SIM e operazioni di bonifica per evitare intercettazioni.
