A police officer in Leukade was involved in a collision with a wild boar while traveling to his post. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning (July 7, 2026) as he rode a motorcycle along the bypass leading to the central road between Voinitsa and Leukade. According to reports, the officer sustained minor injuries, including a broken hand and some side bruises, and is currently hospitalized at the Leukade hospital where he will undergo orthopedic surgery.
