Mexican authorities, specifically the State's Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), announced the seizure of half a ton of methamphetamine from a suspected 'narcolaboratory' located in the border region between San Luis Potosí and Guanajuato. The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR), took place in the municipality of Santa María del Río. In addition to the methamphetamine, authorities seized 23 kilograms of marijuana, approximately 2,500 liters of chemical precursors, and various processing equipment. Eleven individuals, all from the states of Sinaloa, Durango, and Sonora, were arrested during the operation. According to officials, this seizure could equate to around 10 million doses, valued at approximately 500 million pesos on the black market. This marks the first time a 'narcolaboratory' has been detected in San Luis Potosí.
