HKMalaysian police dismantled a cross-border drug trafficking network by seizing 86.2 kilograms of methamphetamine valued at approximately US$1 million in Penang and Selangor. This operation followed intelligence shared with Thai authorities, who had previously confiscated 166 kg of suspected methamphetamine from a Malaysian man in Thailand. Four individuals, three Malaysian men and a Thai woman, were arrested during the operation. The drugs were concealed in tea bags inside a luxury car, and the syndicate used modified vehicles with secret compartments to transport the narcotics. Police also recovered five vehicles worth around 420,700 ringgit, increasing the total seizure value to 4.73 million ringgit.
