At least six individuals were killed and six others critically injured when a speeding tanker struck an autorickshaw near Satwar village in Zaheerabad mandal. The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday along the Hyderabad-Mumbai national highway (NH-65). The victims included agricultural laborers from Rajagiri in Karnataka who had traveled to work in the region. The autorickshaw, carrying 11 women, was making a U-turn when it was hit by the tanker traveling at high speed from Mumbai toward Hyderabad. The force of the impact severely damaged the vehicle, resulting in immediate fatalities. Four individuals died on the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries later during medical treatment. Among the deceased were Rekhamma (36), Kavitha (40), Sridevi (45), Reshma (28), Nikhita (30), and the autorickshaw driver Devadas (35). Devadas and Nikhita were married. Six others sustained serious injuries and were transported to the government hospital in Zaheerabad. Two of these patients remain in critical condition. This incident, classified as a case of negligent driving, is also under investigation. In a separate incident, a man named Mohammed Abdul Jawad, a resident of Islampura in Jagtial district, lost his life in a collision involving a Toyota Toyace small truck and a trailer in Qormi. The accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday. His family awaits repatriation arrangements, highlighting the broader pattern of tragic incidents affecting different regions of Telangana.
