IS14 applying for the office of district overseer in Skagerrak
Fourteen individuals have applied for the position of mayor of the Skagastad municipality. The application deadline was June 30th, but two applicants withdrew their applications. Alexandra Jóhannesdóttir, the former mayor of Skagastrond, has been appointed as the new mayor of South Iceland. Three former mayors are among the applicants: Einar Kristján Jónsson, former mayor of Skaftárhreppur; Ólafur Þór Ólafsson, former mayor of Tálknafirði; and Þorgeir Pálsson, former mayor of Strandabyggða. A list of all applicants is provided below in alphabetical order.
