Türkiye’s defense and aerospace exports surpassed $11 billion for the first time within a 12-month period, according to Haluk Görgün, head of the Defense Industries Secretariat. In June alone, exports amounted to $802.8 million, representing a 29.6% increase compared to the same month last year. Over the January-June period, exports totaled $4.67 billion, marking a 29.5% rise from the previous year. The growth is attributed to the expansion of indigenous defense technologies such as drones, naval systems, armored vehicles, and air defense systems. More than 3,500 companies are currently active in Türkiye’s defense industry.
