Toyota začne prodajati rabljene avtomobile na prostem trgu: certificirani so z uradno garancijo

Platforma ponuja preglednost o vsaki enoti, možnosti financiranja in neposreden stik z prodajalci. Poleg tega vključuje vozila Kinto, storitev carsharinga Toyota. Program uvaja dve kategoriji certificiranja: "Gold" za vozila do 10 let in "Plata" za vozila do 15 let, s tehničnimi revizijami in dodatnimi jamstvi.

Toyota has launched a new initiative to sell certified used cars directly through Mercado Libre, one of Argentina’s leading online marketplaces. The move marks a strategic expansion into the used vehicle sector, with all vehicles sold under the “Toyota Usados Certificados” program backed by official warranty guarantees. This effort comes as part of Toyota Argentina’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the used car market, which has been growing rapidly due to increased consumer interest in digital platforms for vehicle purchases. The company announced the launch of an official store on Mercado Libre, offering a wide range of certified used Toyota models sourced from its dealership network across the country. The platform currently features over 300 listings, including both conventional used vehicles and units from Kinto, Toyota’s car-sharing service. The initiative also expands the scope of Toyota’s certification program, allowing vehicles up to 15 years old to qualify for the program, up from the previous limit of 10 years. This change reflects the company’s response to evolving consumer preferences and the increasing role of digital tools in the automotive purchasing process. According to data published by Mercado Libre, four out of five Argentinians research online before buying a car, and 82 percent of users who visit specialized sites conduct searches within the platform itself. In this context, Toyota Argentina aims to provide customers with greater transparency and accessibility by offering a dedicated space where buyers can view available inventory, access financing options, and connect directly with authorized dealerships. The initiative also includes additional benefits such as extended warranties, 24-hour technical support, and access to Toyota’s official after-sales services. The certification program now consists of two categories. The existing “Oro” category applies to vehicles up to 10 years old and 200,000 kilometers, undergoing a detailed inspection of 150 points and qualifying for the extended warranty program Toyota 10. A new “Plata” category has been introduced to accommodate vehicles up to 15 years old, with the same mileage limit but subject to a less extensive inspection of 50 points. Both categories offer one year of additional official warranty coverage, along with 24-hour assistance and access to Toyota’s official post-sale network. The selection of models available through the new platform spans nearly the entire Toyota lineup, ranging from compact sedans like the Etios and Yaris to mid-size SUVs such as the SW4 and Corolla Cross. The inclusion of these popular models underscores Toyota’s commitment to meeting diverse customer needs while maintaining quality standards. Additionally, buyers have the option to finance their purchase, trade in a used vehicle of any brand as part payment, and enjoy the perks of being a Club Toyota member. In terms of performance, Toyota highlighted that the Hilux was the best-selling used vehicle under 10 years in 2025, while the Corolla and Etios ranked among the top-performing models in the used car segment. These figures reflect the enduring appeal of certain Toyota models in the secondary market and reinforce the company’s position as a leader in both new and used vehicle sales. Looking ahead, Toyota Argentina plans to continue expanding its reach in the used car market by leveraging digital platforms and enhancing customer trust through rigorous certification processes. As more consumers turn to online channels for vehicle purchases, the company’s entry into Mercado Libre represents a key step in adapting to changing market dynamics and supporting buyer confidence in used car transactions.
