An unusual weather phenomenon known as 'pijavica' (a whirlwind-like effect) surprised residents of the village of Ljubic in Cacak during Sunday afternoon. The event was characterized by alternating clouds and sunlight, followed by a sudden strong wind that whipped up dust and grass but did not cause significant damage. Local resident Dragana from Ljubic described the experience, noting that while the wind was strong, it did not carry objects around. This is not the first time such a phenomenon has occurred in Serbia; a similar intense 'pijavica' affected Dragacevo several years ago, leaving behind destruction. Meteorologists explain that 'pijavica' occurs due to the interaction between warm and cold air masses, leading to rapid rotation and the formation of elongated cloud formations.
