Carreras was joined by soprano Dušica Bijelić and accompanied by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra under the baton of renowned conductor David Giménez, a long-time collaborator of Carreras. Beyond his artistic achievements, Carreras is also known for his humanitarian work. After overcoming leukemia in 1987, he founded the International José Carreras Foundation, which has supported research and treatment for this serious illness for decades.
