In Surif, near Hebron, residents of the Bat Ayin settlement reportedly set fire to a car, damaged another, and defaced a house with racist graffiti. Later on Saturday, three Palestinian men were attacked with pepper spray on a road between al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah after settlers used an all-terrain vehicle to ram their car. Such incidents have become increasingly common in that area, according to local leaders. In Beit Jala, near Bethlehem, Israeli authorities compelled three residents to dismantle their own homes instead of allowing the government to carry out the demolitions. This approach, according to Palestinian activists, allows Israel to avoid the financial burden of official demolitions while circumventing its refusal to issue building permits to Palestinians. These events reflect a broader pattern of violence and displacement documented by human rights organizations. According to Palestinian sources, there have been over 11,000 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank since the beginning of the year.
