Nach Diebstahlsvorwürfen: Alibaba bannt Claude-KI

The Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has banned its employees from using Anthropic's AI model Claude, requiring them to remove all Claude models from their work computers. According to reports from employees shared with the IT news portal The Information, this decision stems from a hidden feature in the Claude code that allows Anthropic to detect if a user is accessing the model from China or communicating with a Chinese AI developer. Although Anthropic prohibits the use of its models in China, Chinese companies have found ways to use them covertly. Last month, Anthropic accused Alibaba of stealing AI models through mass access attempts, allegedly trying to unlawfully extract the logic of Claude. In a letter published by the Financial Times, Anthropic called on the U.S. Congress to take measures to prevent such attacks. The U.S. government cited scenarios like this in June as justification for banning Anthropic's models Fable and Mythos for non-U.S. citizens. Alibaba has not yet commented on these allegations, but recent employee reports suggest they used Anthropic's AI illegally. Previously, Anthropic had accused Chinese AI firms DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and MiniMax of similar model
