A sports and educational camp named “6 7 Avalon” officially opened on Monday at the Blato football field on Rabu, according to local media. The initiative targets children aged six to eleven, offering them opportunities to develop physical, social, and personal skills through games, sports activities, and educational content. The camp aims to foster confidence, focus, teamwork, and mutual respect among participants. The opening ceremony included a gathering with snacks for parents, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to the project’s realization. As of now, the first group consists of 21 children, while applications for the second group remain open. The camp is designed as a space where children can engage in diverse fun-based games and sports activities to enhance their physical fitness, build self-esteem, and learn the value of team spirit and respect. The camp's head coach, Kristijan Hunček, emphasized that one of its unique aspects is the inclusion of the entire family in its organization. He noted that he, along with assistants Andrea, Vana, and Leon, will oversee the sporting components, while his wife, Deborah, handles logistics and leads the educational part of the program. She holds qualifications as an NLP Master, which she uses to guide the educational sessions. Additional support comes from former football legend Tedi and young player Domagoj, both of whom will join the camp on-site. They aim to inspire participants with their experience and energy, further motivating the children throughout the duration of the program. Coach Hunček explained that the goal of the camp is to create a stimulating and safe environment where children can grow through play and sports, developing healthy habits, forming new friendships, and acquiring skills that will benefit them beyond the playing fields. The program includes a variety of sports activities, games, obstacle courses, relay races, football drills, and other forms of active interaction, all emphasizing movement, fun, teamwork, and fair play. The camp runs during July at the Blato football field, catering specifically to girls and boys aged six to eleven. The first group began its activities on Saturday, July 6th, while the second group is scheduled to start on July 20th. The event has received positive attention from the community, with many expressing enthusiasm for the opportunity to combine education and recreation in a structured yet engaging setting.
