Germany has approved a nuclear fuel production partnership involving a French firm and Russian state-owned Rosatom, despite ongoing international tensions linked to Russia’s actions in Ukraine. The Advanced Nuclear Fuels GmbH (ANF), a subsidiary of the French nuclear conglomerate Framatome, has received atomic licensing to manufacture hexagonal pressurized water reactor fuel elements of the VVER type in Lingen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
