Garrett Nelson of CFRA called the return of the Roadster long overdue, emphasizing Tesla’s need for a new product to stimulate interest after years of product stagnation. Regulatory challenges, cost concerns, and practical viability remain major hurdles for a consumer version of the flying Roadster. However, the demonstration is expected to reinforce Tesla’s image as a technology-driven company pushing boundaries. The Roadster’s design also pays homage to manual driving, even as Tesla increasingly focuses on autonomous systems. Musk, who also leads SpaceX, has previously hinted at using rocket-based technology for the vehicle.
