Six additional arrests were made on August 7, though these individuals have not yet been formally charged. Meanwhile, in Sydney, a separate but related case has emerged involving a salon owner accused of drugging and sexually assaulting two men. A 39-year-old individual was arrested at Rosebery on August 7 and charged with two counts of using an intoxicating substance to commit an indictable offense and two counts of sexual intercourse without consent. The charges stem from investigations initiated in June, following reports from two men aged 34 and 37 who alleged they were sexually assaulted at the salon located in Sydney’s inner south. The salon owner was apprehended at Salon DS, situated on the corner of Maloney Street and Gardeners Road, Rosebery, and was taken to Mascot police station. According to NSW Police Superintendent Andrew Garner, the allegations suggest the salon owner contacted the men through an online dating platform before inviting them to the salon. There, the men reportedly ingested an unknown substance before being subjected to sexual assault. The incidents are alleged to have occurred in March and May of this year. It is understood that neither the victims nor the accused were previously acquainted. The exact nature of the substance used and the method of ingestion remain under investigation. The salon itself is currently undergoing scientific examination to aid the ongoing inquiry. Both cases highlight serious criminal behavior and underscore the need for thorough legal proceedings.
